Regular Season Round 15: Legia 2 - Stal SW 87-73

Rather expected game in Warszawa where bottom-ranked Stal SW (0-14) was defeated by eleventh ranked Legia 2 (4-10) 87-73 on Saturday. Legia 2 dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Stal SW's 42. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was a great evening for forward Patryk Lysiak (193-0) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 11 rebounds. Guard Cezary Karpik (185-0) helped adding 13 points and 6 assists. Five Legia 2 players scored in double figures. Legia 2's coach Krzysztof Szablowski used entire bench and allowed the starting five to get some rest. The best for the losing side was guard Mateusz Labuda (183-83) with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds and Konrad Nowik (191-99) scored 16 points and 6 rebounds. Legia 2 moved-up to ninth place in Group B, which they share with AZS UW. Stal SW lost their fourteenth game in a row. They still close the standings with 14 games lost. Legia 2 will face higher ranked AZS Start II (#3) in Lublin in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Stal SW will play at home against Tur Bielsk Pdl. (#5) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
