Regular Season Round 73: Golden St.W. - Detroit P. 104-111

The game between closely ranked teams ended with fourth ranked Pistons' (13-22) road victory over 5th ranked Warriors (9-28) in Oakland 111-104 on Saturday. Pistons dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Warriors' 44. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. It was a very good performance for center Andre Drummond (208-93, college: UConn) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 14 points and 18 rebounds. Guinean-French swingman Sekou Doumbouya (202-0) contributed with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Five Pistons players scored in double figures. Guard Alec Burks (198-91, college: Colorado) answered with 27 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists (made all of his fourteen free throws !!!) and forward Omari Spellman (207-97, college: Villanova) added 23 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Warriors. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Pistons moved-up to third place. Warriors lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fifth position with 28 games lost. Pistons will face league's leader Lakers in Los Angeles in the next day and it will be for sure the game of the week.
