Very predictable result when second ranked Sassari (13-3) defeated on the road 15th ranked Pistoia (5-11) 78-70 on Saturday. Sassari had a 27-16 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Sassari especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 57.9 percentage. Croatian center Miro Bilan (213-89, agency: BeoBasket) stepped up and scored 17 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners and guard Marco Spissu (182-95) chipped in 15 points and 5 assists. The former international Aristide Landi (203-94) responded with 14 points and 5 rebounds and Belgian Jean Salumu (193-90) scored 15 points and 4 assists. Four Sassari and five Pistoia players scored in double figures. Sassari have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They maintain second place with 13-3 record behind leader Virtus BO.
