Everything went according to plan when tenth ranked Ogniwo Szczecin (5-9) beat at home 13th ranked Gimbasket WRC (1-13) 84-72 on Saturday. It was a great evening for center Karol Pytys (202-85) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 19 rebounds. Guard Karol Nowacki (194-91) helped adding 17 points, 8 rebounds and 9 assists. Ogniwo Szczecin's coach Zbigniew Majcherek used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to get some rest. The best for the losing side was forward Pawel Galczynski (195-98) with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds and point guard Maciej Kosciuk (181-94) scored 18 points and 8 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Ogniwo Szczecin moved-up to ninth place in Group D, which they share with Hes BasketBall. Gimbasket WRC lost their seventh game in a row. They keep the thirteenth position with 13 games lost. Ogniwo Szczecin will face higher ranked Zary (#3) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Gimbasket WRC will play against Tarnowskie Gory (#11) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
