Regular Season Round 12: Giants - Regulators 93-83

Another interesting game was again a derby match of two local teams from Nassau: Giants (#1) and Regulators (#4). Giants (9-0) won against visiting Regulators (4-5) 93-83. Giants forced 21 Regulators turnovers. The best player for the winners was the former international guard DShon Taylor (196-93, college: Norfolk St.) who scored 27 points and 5 rebounds. The former international Michael Bain (185-85) chipped in 16 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists. Four Giants players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Alexander Rolle (-93) who recorded a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds and Simon Cruz added 20 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Giants have an impressive nine-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 9-0 record. Regulators at the other side dropped to the third place with five games lost. They share the position with Wolverines. Giants' supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Nassau to the arena Shockers.
