The game in Svit was also worth to mention about. 6th ranked Handlova (7-10) played at the court of seventh ranked Iskra Svit (8-10). Iskra Svit managed to secure a 8-point victory 72-64. Iskra Svit forced 22 Handlova turnovers. Strangely Handlova outrebounded Iskra Svit 47-31 including 16 on the offensive glass. The winners were led by American point guard Isaiah Johnson (183-93, college: Young Harris) who scored that evening 18 points and 8 rebounds and the other American import forward Phil Carr (203-95, college: Morgan St.) supported him with 17 points and 5 steals. Even a double-double of 17 points and 11 rebounds by Bosnian Aleksandar Radukic (206-91, agency: 011 Sports) did not help to save the game for Handlova. The former international forward Jakub Petras (211-94, college: Stony Brook) added 8 points and 14 rebounds for the guests. Iskra Svit moved-up to sixth place. Handlova at the other side dropped to the seventh position with ten games lost. Iskra Svit's next round opponent will be higher ranked Zilina (#5) on the road and it may be quite challenging game. Handlova will play against Levice and hope to win that game.
