Everything went according to plan when sixth ranked Trefl (10-5) outscored on the road 14th ranked MKS Dabrowa Gornicza (4-11) 87-62 on Saturday. They outrebounded MKS Dabrowa Gornicza 40-27 including 28 on the defensive glass. Trefl looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 15 passes made by MKS Dabrowa Gornicza's players. The best player for the winners was American center Nana Foulland (208-95, college: Bucknell) who had a double-double by scoring 11 points and 13 rebounds. Michal Kolenda (200-97) chipped in 10 points and 7 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Dominic Artis (192-93, college: UTEP, agency: Network Sports International) who recorded 11 points and 9 assists and Canadian center Michael Fraser (203-84, college: Oklah.Baptist) added 11 points and 9 rebounds respectively. Five Trefl and four MKS Dabrowa Gornicza players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Trefl moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Asseco Arka. MKS Dabrowa Gornicza lost their eighth game in a row. They keep the fourteenth position with 11 games lost. Trefl will meet Wilki Morskie (#8) in the next round. MKS Dabrowa Gornicza will play against GTK (#12) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
