Leader Faenza recorded the eleventh victory. This time they crushed 12th ranked Livorno (4-10) 79-48. It was a good game for point guard Federica Franceschelli (180-97) who led her team to a victory with 14 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. The former international forward Simona Ballardini (181-81) contributed with 12 points and 4 assists for the winners. Power forward Francesca Orsini (185-95) answered with 13 points and 7 rebounds and center Giulia Vanin (186-95, agency: SPORTlab Agency) added 6 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Livorno. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Faenza maintains first place in A2 with 11-2 record. Newly promoted Livorno keeps the twelfth position with ten games lost. Faenza will play against Umbertide (#4) at home in the next round. Livorno will play against Civitanova (#10) in Civitanova Marche and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
