Regular Season Round 18: Asker Aliens - Baerum Basket 74-54

The most important game in the last round took place in Asker between third ranked Baerum Basket (11-6) and tenth ranked Asker Aliens (3-14) on Saturday night. Baerum Basket was crushed by Asker Aliens on the road 74-54. American point guard Eric Gilchrese (183-87, college: UNH) scored 23 points, 8 rebounds and 9 assists to lead the charge for the winners and DR Congolese forward Djo Loo-Yele (203-82) chipped in 19 points and 13 rebounds during the contest. Gilchrese is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Asker Aliens' coach Kenneth Webb used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was the former international forward Sjur Berg (201-96, college: Alaska-Anch.) with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 16 rebounds and guard Stian Mjos (183-89) scored 18 points. Asker Aliens moved-up to ninth place. Baerum Basket at the other side keeps the third position with six games lost. Asker Aliens are looking forward to face higher ranked Centrum (#8) in Oslo in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Baerum Basket will play on the road against the league's leader Kongsberg (#1) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
