Everything went according to plan when third ranked Padova (12-3) edged on the road 14th ranked Crema (4-11) 64-63 on Sunday. The best player for the winners was swingman Michele Ferrari (196-86) who scored 18 points and 9 rebounds. The former international point guard Francesco De-Nicolao (185-93) chipped in 10 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Francesco Forti (183-94, agency: Players Group) who recorded 13 points and 7 assists and guard Matteo Motta (193-92, agency: SPORTlab Agency) added 10 points respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Crema's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Padova moved-up to second place in B, which they share with San Vendemiano. Loser Crema keeps the fourteenth position with 11 games lost. Padova will face Varese Robur (#15) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Crema will play against Monfalcone and hope to win that game.
