Regular Season Round 16: Bullets - Wildcats 97-85

The most important game in the last round took place in Brisbane between second ranked Perth Wildcats (13-8) and eighth ranked Bullets (9-11) on Sunday night. Perth Wildcats were defeated by Bullets on the road 85-97. Worth to mention a great performance of American swingman Lamar Patterson (196-91, college: Pittsburgh, agency: Pensack Sports) who helped to win the game recording 35 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds. International guard Nathan Sobey (190-90, college: Wyoming) contributed with 17 points and 4 assists for the winners. American guard Bryce Cotton (182-92, college: Providence, agency: Pensack Sports) replied with 24 points and 6 rebounds and international power forward Nick Kay (206-92, college: MSU Denver) added 18 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for Perth Wildcats. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Bullets moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Breakers. Defending champion Perth Wildcats keep the second position with eight games lost. Bullets is looking forward to face New Zealand Breakers (#6) in Auckland in the next round. Perth Wildcats will play on the road against Illawarra Hawks (#9) in Gwynneville and are hoping to win this game.
