Regular Season Round 15: Alvik Basket - Bankeryds 68-66

Tenth-ranked Bankeryds (1-10) were very close to win a game against sixth ranked Alvik Basket (6-7) in Stockholm. Alvik Basket managed to secure only two-point victory 68-66. However their fans expected much easier game. Alvik Basket forced 22 Bankeryds turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. It was a great evening for American point guard Marcus Johnson-Jr (180-95, college: UALR) who led his team to a victory scoring 30 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Forward Jakob Andersson (196-89, college: CS San Marcos, agency: Players Group) helped adding 8 points. Alvik Basket's coach Fred Drains allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. The best for the losing side was guard Kristoffer Gronhage (188-92) with 28 points and 6 assists and forward Wictor Grenthe (203-87) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points, 16 rebounds and 5 assists. Alvik Basket maintains sixth place with 6-7 record. Bankeryds lost fifth consecutive game. Newly promoted team stay at the bottom position with ten games lost. Alvik Basket will play against higher ranked AIK Basket (#5) in Solna in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Bankeryds will play on the road against Hogsbo (#3) in Goteborg to get more than just one victory in their record.
