There was a surprise result when sixteenth ranked Aguimes (3-12) edged on the road bottom-ranked CB Guadalajara (6-9) 58-56 on Sunday. The guests trailed by 5 points at the halftime before their 21-13 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. The best player for the winners was forward Paulo Rodriguez (201-0) who scored 25 points and 6 rebounds. Antonio Lopez chipped in 4 points and 8 rebounds. Aguimes' coach Fermin Bosa used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Raul Lazaro (195-87) who recorded 15 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists and center Sergio Martinez (208-92) added 12 points and 10 rebounds respectively. Aguimes moved-up to fifteenth place in Group B, which they share with Lanzarote. Loser CB Guadalajara dropped to the bottom position with nine games lost. Aguimes will face higher ranked Pozuelo (#14) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
