The game in Renova supposed to be also quite interesting. Fourth ranked Saga B. (19-9) played at the court of 8th ranked Kagoshima (12-15). Saga B. smashed Kagoshima 112-72 on Sunday. Saga B. dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Kagoshima's 48. Saga B. had a 30-17 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 32 assists comparing to just 17 passes made by Kagoshima's players. American Trey Gilder (206-85, college: Northwestern St.) fired 22 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Point guard Tasuku Namizato (172-87) chipped in 14 points and 8 assists. American forward Chris Washburn (203-93, college: TCU) produced 14 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and his fellow American import forward Shelton Boykin (198-92, college: Angelo St.) added 13 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for lost side. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Saga B. have an impressive ten-game winning streak. Saga B. will meet at home higher ranked Aisin AW (#3) in the next round and it may be the game of the week.
