Regular Season Round 32: Hiroshima D. - Ibaraki R. 87-72

An interesting game for Dragonflies (27-5) which hosted in Hiroshima 3rd ranked Ibaraki R. (17-15). First ranked Dragonflies had an easy win 87-72. Dragonflies players were unselfish on offense dishing 31 assists comparing to just 18 passes made by Ibaraki R.'s players. The best player for the winners was American forward Thomas Kennedy (201-87, college: Detroit Mercy) who had a double-double by scoring 41 points (!!!), 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Venezuelan center Gregory Echenique (206-90, college: Creighton, agency: Pensack Sports) chipped in a double-double by scoring 19 points, 11 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 blocks (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Dragonflies' coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American power forward Alex Jones (206-87, college: Seattle) produced a double-double by scoring 17 points and 16 rebounds and his fellow American import center Will Creekmore (205-89, college: Missouri St.) added 11 points and 9 rebounds respectively for the guests. Four Ibaraki R. players scored in double figures. Dragonflies have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 27-5 record. Ibaraki R. at the other side keeps the third place with 15 games lost. Dragonflies' next round opponent will be Kumamoto V. (#5) on the road. Ibaraki R. will play against Fukushima and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
