Regular Season Round 32: FE Nagoya - Koshigaya A. 85-88

A very close game took place in Nagoya between Koshigaya A. and FE Nagoya. Sixth ranked Koshigaya A. (9-23) got a very close victory on the road over 3rd ranked FE Nagoya (16-16). Koshigaya A. managed to escape with a 3-point win 88-85 on Sunday evening. American players dominated the game. The winners were led by guard Charles Hinkle (198-88, college: American) who scored that evening 34 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds and center Andrew Naymick (209-85, college: Michigan St.) supported him with 11 points and 12 rebounds. Four Koshigaya A. players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 19 points, 19 rebounds and 8 assists by forward Josh Hawkinson (208-95, college: WSU, agency: Wasserman) did not help to save the game for FE Nagoya. Forward Cherif Sow (201-92) added 13 points for the hosts. FE Nagoya's coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Koshigaya A. moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Tokyo Z. Loser FE Nagoya keeps the third position with 16 games lost. Koshigaya A.'s supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Tokyo to the arena Tokyo Z.
