Not a big story in a game when 14th ranked Treviso (6-10) was defeated at home by twelfth ranked Openjobmetis VA (8-8) 84-79 on Sunday. Openjobmetis VA outrebounded Treviso 34-22 including a 27-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. American guard Jason Clark (188-90, college: Georgetown) stepped up and scored 30 points and 9 rebounds for the winners and his fellow American import forward Jeremy Simmons (204-89, college: Charleston) chipped in 14 points and 13 rebounds. Four Openjobmetis VA players scored in double figures. American-Polish guard David Logan (182-82, college: Indianapolis) responded with 25 points and American forward Jordan Parks (201-94, college: NC Central, agency: Inception Sports) scored 14 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Openjobmetis VA moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Cantu and Venezia. Treviso lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the fourteenth position with ten games lost. Openjobmetis VA will face league's second-placed Sassari on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Treviso will play against Armani Milano (#4) and hope to win that game.
