Regular Season Round 32: Fukushima - Shinshu BW 68-64

The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Shinshu BW (24-6) on the court of fifth ranked Fukushima on Sunday night. Visitors were defeated by Fukushima 68-64. It ended at the same time the eight-game winning streak of Shinshu BW. Fukushima made 18-of-23 free shots (78.3 percent) during the game. American-Jamaican forward Staphon Blair (206-93, college: UCF) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds. American forward Shaheed Davis (206-94, college: UCF) contributed with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Spanish-Dominican Orlando Sanchez (206-88, college: St.John's) replied with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 13 rebounds and American Anthony McHenry (202-83, college: Georgia Tech) added 17 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Shinshu BW. Shinshu BW's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Fukushima maintains fifth position with 10-20 record. Shinshu BW at the other side still keeps top place with six games lost. Fukushima are looking forward to face higher ranked Ibaraki R. (#3) in Tsukuba in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Shinshu BW will play on the road against Orange Vikings in Matsuyama and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
