Regular Season Round 28: Kanazawa - Aisin AW 79-93

Not a big story in a game in Ishikawa where 12th ranked Kanazawa (4-24) was defeated by third ranked Aisin AW (20-8) 93-79. Aisin AW dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Kanazawa's 32 and made 18-of-21 charity shots (85.7 percent) during the game. It was a very good performance for American Kyle Richardson (201-91, college: Portland St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 20 points and 14 rebounds. Kazuki Ikejima (189-94) contributed with 23 points and 7 rebounds (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field) for the winners. American guard Andre Murray (188-87, college: Portland St.) replied with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 14 rebounds and point guard Daichi Tomioka (165-95) added 17 points and 5 assists in the effort for Kanazawa. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Kanazawa's coach rotated ten players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Aisin AW have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 20-8 record having just three points less than leader Iwate Big Bulls. Kanazawa lost twelfth consecutive game.
