Very important is a road loss of second ranked Fortitudo AGR (10-5) against ninth ranked Basket Scafati (8-8) on Sunday night. Visiting Fortitudo AGR was defeated by Basket Scafati in Scafati 90-73. American point guard JJ Frazier (178-95, college: Georgia) fired a double-double by scoring 14 points, 14 assists and 4 steals for the winners. The other American import forward Deshawn Stephens (203-89, college: San Diego St., agency: Slash Sports) chipped in 22 points (on 11-of-13 shooting from the field). Basket Scafati's coach Giovanni Perdichizzi used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American center Tony Easley (206-87, college: Murray St.) produced 21 points and 9 rebounds and guard Giovanni De-Nicolao (190-96, college: UTSA) added 13 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Basket Scafati moved-up to seventh place in A2. Loser Fortitudo AGR dropped to the third position with five games lost. Basket Scafati will face SS Napoli (#11) on the road in the next round. Fortitudo AGR will play against Blu Basket TVG (#6) and hope to win that game.
