Regular Season Round 15: Teramo - Faenza 81-69

There was an upset when higher ranked Faenza (6-9) was defeated on the road by fifteenth ranked Teramo (4-11) 81-69 on Sunday. Teramo made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Faenza's players. The best player for the winners was swingman Giorgio Di-Bonaventura (192-97) who scored 31 points and 9 rebounds. Valerio Cucchiario chipped in 11 points and 9 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was power forward Giorgio Sgobba (200-92, agency: Players Group) who recorded 22 points and 5 rebounds (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!) and guard Michele Rubbini (185-99) added 15 points and 5 assists respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Teramo moved-up to fourteenth place in B, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser Faenza dropped to the ninth position with nine games lost. Teramo will face higher ranked Aurora JE (#9) in Jesi in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
