Very predictable result when sixth ranked Oulun NMKY (6-6) smashed at home 11th ranked FoKoPo (2-10) 102-83 on Sunday. The hosts trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 4-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 102-83. Oulun NMKY looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The best player for the winners was American point guard Dedrick Basile (178-94, college: CSU Bakersfield) who had a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!), 5 rebounds, 15 assists and 4 steals. The other American import forward Anthony Townes (198-96, college: Pacific) chipped in a double-double by scoring 24 points and 10 rebounds. Four Oulun NMKY players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Isaac Williams (195-94, college: MVSU) who recorded 24 points and forward Aku Haikonen (201-96) added 18 points and 8 rebounds respectively. Oulun NMKY moved-up to fifth place in Division. Loser FoKoPo dropped to the twelfth position with ten games lost. Oulun NMKY will meet higher ranked HNMKY (#4) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. FoKoPo will play against the league's leader HBA-Marsky (#1) and hope to secure a win.
