Very expected game in Empoli where 12th ranked Alessandria FB (4-10) was defeated by sixth ranked USE Basket (9-5) 71-57 on Sunday. The best player for the winners was forward Gabriele Giarelli (200-93) who scored 13 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Point guard Filippo Giannini (184-91) chipped in 14 points. USE Basket's coach Alessio Marchini used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was center Maurizio Pavone (200-84) who recorded a double-double by scoring 11 points and 12 rebounds and forward Alberto Serafini (196-93) added 13 points and 9 rebounds respectively. Four Alessandria FB players scored in double figures. USE Basket moved-up to fourth place in B, which they share with Monfalcone.
