Regular Season Round 15: Roma Luiss - Cassino 82-58

There was no surprise when 16th ranked Cassino (1-14) was crushed on the road by sixth ranked Roma Luiss (9-6) 82-58 on Sunday. The best player for the winners was guard Mario Tamburrini (188-94) who scored 16 points. Swingman Antongiulio Bonaccorso (197-97) chipped in 12 points and 7 rebounds. Five Roma Luiss players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was power forward Mauro Liburdi (201-82) who recorded 16 points and swingman Matteo Fioravanti (195-97, agency: SPORTlab Agency) added 10 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Roma Luiss moved-up to fifth place in B, which they share with Lecco. Loser Cassino keeps the sixteenth position with 14 games lost. Roma Luiss will face Valmontone (#8) on the road in the next round. Cassino will play against Pozzuoli V. (#11) and hope to win that game.
