Regular Season Round 15: Corona Platina - Lecco 72-82

Rather expected game in Piadena where 8th ranked Corona Platina (7-8) was defeated by sixth ranked Lecco (9-6) 82-72 on Sunday. The best player for the winners was guard Giulio Mascherpa (185-92, agency: Interperformances) who scored 22 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists. Naturalized Argentinian guard Marcos Casini (188-80) chipped in 16 points and 6 rebounds. Four Lecco players scored in double figures. Lecco's coach Riccardo Eliantonio used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was power forward Andrea Vignali (201-93) who recorded 15 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Guglielmo De-Ros (186-98) added 18 points (went 10 for 10 at the free throw line !!!) respectively. Lecco moved-up to fifth place in B. Newly promoted Corona Platina keeps the eighth position with eight games lost. Lecco will face Juvi Cremona (#10) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Corona Platina will play against the league's leader Tessilform Bernareggio and hope to win that game.
