Very expected game in Turun where 10th ranked Kristika Turku (4-8) was crushed by third ranked LoKoKo Bisons (8-4) 99-71 on Sunday. The game without a history. LoKoKo Bisons led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Kristika Turku's 38. The best player for the winners was American forward DeSean Parsons (201, college: Portland St.) who scored 22 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. The other American import forward Joshua Wilchombe (203, college: OKWU) chipped in a double-double by scoring 22 points and 13 rebounds. Wilchombe is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Five LoKoKo Bisons players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was power forward Mikael Aalto (205-94) who recorded a double-double by scoring 26 points and 14 rebounds and Joona Tuomala (197-97) added 9 points, 11 rebounds and 7 assists respectively. Kristika Turku's coach Juha Ruohonen gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. LoKoKo Bisons maintains third position in Division with 8-4 record having just two points less than leader Tapiolan Honka. Loser Kristika Turku keeps the tenth place with eight games lost. LoKoKo Bisons will meet at home MuKi (#9) in the next round where they are favorite. Kristika Turku will play against ToPo Juniorit in Helsinki and hope to secure a win.
