Regular Season Round 32: Ehime OV - Kagawa FA 94-101

The game between closely ranked teams ended with one of their biggest challengers Orange Vikings' (17-15) home loss to second ranked Kagawa FA (21-9) in Matsuyama 94-101 on Sunday. Kagawa FA looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Orange Vikings were plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. American guard Terrance Woodbury (201-87, college: Georgia) orchestrated the victory with a triple-double by scoring 40 points (!!!), 13 rebounds and 11 assists. The other American import forward Kevin Kotzur (203-89, college: St.Mary's, TX) contributed with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 15 rebounds for the winners. Woodbury is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. American forward Chehales Tapscott (195-90, college: Portland St.) replied with a double-double by scoring 43 points (!!!), 16 rebounds and 5 assists and American-Irish forward Brian Voelkel (196-92, college: Vermont) added 8 points, 12 rebounds and 15 assists in the effort for Orange Vikings. Kagawa FA maintains second position with 21-9 record having 2 victories less than leader Shinshu BW. Loser Orange Vikings keep the third place with 15 games lost. Kagawa FA will face Yamagata (#6) at home in the next round. Orange Vikings will play against the league's leader Shinshu BW and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
