Very predictable result when fourth ranked Salerno (11-3) beat at home 10th ranked Corato (6-8) 63-56 on Sunday. They outrebounded Corato 37-23 including 27 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was Bosnian-Serbian power forward Njegos Visnjic (200-79) who had a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Forward Gianmarco Leggio (202-94) chipped in 12 points and 9 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Mauro Stella (190-84, agency: Players Group) who recorded 16 points and power forward Luigi Brunetti (205-88) added 12 points and 7 rebounds respectively. Salerno moved-up to third place in B. Loser Corato dropped to the twelfth position with eight games lost. Salerno will face Nardo (#4) on the road in the next round. Corato will play against the league's leader Palestrina (#1) and hope to win that game.
