The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Lyon as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Lyon defeated 6th ranked Roche at home 82-71. Lyon made 19-of-25 free shots (76.0 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of international power forward Marieme Badiane (190-94, agency: Basket Promotion Agency) who helped to win the game recording 18 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Israeli-American forward Alysha Clark (178-87, college: MTSU) contributed with 13 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Lyon's coach Valery Demory used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. DR Congolese center Bernadette Ngoyisa (195-82) replied with 12 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and point guard Oceane Monpierre (170-0) added 15 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Roche. Four Roche players scored in double figures. Lyon (9-1) have an impressive seven-game winning streak. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Roche at the other side dropped to the fourth place with four games lost. They share the position with Landes. Roche will play next round against Nantes Reze trying to get back on the winning streak.
