The game between closely ranked teams ended with 12th ranked Korihait's (3-21) home loss to eleventh ranked Kobrat (8-16) in Uusikaupunki 82-94 on Wednesday. The guests trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 4-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 94-82. Strangely Korihait outrebounded Kobrat 42-26 including a 14-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Quite impressive performance for American forward Jordan Capps (201-95, college: SE Louisiana) who helped to win the game recording 26 points. The former international point guard Antto Nikkarinen (185-91, agency: Blacktop Management) contributed with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 assists for the winners. Four Kobrat players scored in double figures. American guard Trey Zeigler (196-91, college: TCU) answered with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 13 rebounds and 7 assists and the other American import power forward Jalen Henry (204-96, college: SIUE) added 18 points, 13 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 blocks in the effort for Korihait. Kobrat moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Lahti. Korihait lost ninth consecutive game. They stay dead last with 21 lost games. Kobrat will face higher ranked Kauhajoki (#3) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Korihait will play against Ura Basket (#11) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
