Top ranked Celtics (25-10) recorded its tenth loss in Boston on Wednesday night. Hosts were defeated by fourth ranked Spurs (16-20) 129-114. They dominated down low during the game scoring 78 of its points in the paint compared to Celtics' 48 and made 24-of-26 free shots (92.3 percent) during the game. Spurs looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. The best player for the winners was swingman DeMar DeRozan (201-89, college: USC) who scored 30 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists (was perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line !!!). Guard Bryn Forbes (190-93, college: Michigan St.) chipped in 15 points and 6 assists. Swingman Gordon Hayward (203-90, college: Butler) produced 18 points and forward Jayson Tatum (203-98, college: Duke) added 14 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Spurs moved-up to third place, which they share with Brooklyn N. Celtics at the other side still keep top position with ten games lost. Spurs will have a break next day, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Celtics will play on the road against 76ers in Philadelphia and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
