Regular Season Round 6: St.John's E. - KW Titans 100-86

The game between Top Four teams took place in St. John's. Third ranked host St.John's E. (4-4) defeated one of their biggest challengers Titans (1-5) 100-86. St.John's E. dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Titans' 38. They outrebounded Titans 48-37 including a 37-26 advantage in defensive rebounds. American forward Karrington Ward (201-93, college: EMU, agency: Players Group) notched 14 points and 9 rebounds to lead the effort and Jamaican-Canadian guard Junior Cadougan (185-90, college: Marquette) supported him with 10 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. Even 27 points by American swingman Jared Nickens (201-94, college: Maryland) did not help to save the game for Titans. His fellow American import point guard Damon Lynn (180-95, college: NJIT) added 14 points and 5 rebounds. Five St.John's E. and four Titans players scored in double figures. Titans' coach tested eleven players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. St.John's E. have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 4-4 record behind leader Moncton M. Titans lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fourth place with five games lost. St.John's E. will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Titans will play on the road against Windsor Express (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
