Regular Season Round 28: Okayama - Iwate Big Bulls 70-97

B3 League top team - Iwate Big Bulls (23-5) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed seventh ranked Okayama (13-14) 97-70. Iwate Big Bulls dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Okayama's 38. The winners were led by Canadian forward Erik Nissen (206-95, college: Acadia) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 27 points and 12 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) and American Justin Herold (203-91, college: Sonoma St.) supported him with 17 points and 9 rebounds. Four Iwate Big Bulls players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 25 points, 16 rebounds and 4 assists by American forward Terrance King (198-90, college: E.Stroudsburg) did not help to save the game for Okayama. His fellow American import forward Jeffrey Parmer (203-85, college: FAU) added 22 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Iwate Big Bulls maintains first position with 23-5 record. Okayama lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the seventh place with 14 games lost. Iwate Big Bulls will play against Gifu Swoops (#11) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Okayama will play against Shizuoka (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
