Regular Season Round 18: Echague - Union SF 67-62

Very important is a road loss of third ranked Union SF (11-6) against fifth ranked Echague (8-10) on Thursday night. Visiting Union SF was defeated by Echague in a tough game in Parana 62-67. The best player for the winners was power forward Alejandro Zilli (201-82) who scored 25 points and 6 rebounds (on 10-of-11 shooting from the field). Point guard Ignacio Fernandez (183-89) chipped in 13 points. At the other side the best for losing team was Pablo Osores (194-86) who recorded 15 points and 6 rebounds (perfect from downtown making all five shots) and Pablo Martinez (197-82) added 11 points and 7 rebounds respectively. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Despite that victory Echague went down to sixth position (Liga Argentina) due to points difference. Union SF at the other side keeps the third place with six games lost. Echague's next round opponent will be league's leader San Isidro in San Francisco and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Union SF will play at home against Barrio Parque and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
