Important game to mention about took place in Detroit. Fifth ranked Cavaliers (11-27) saved a 3-point victory on the road edging 3rd ranked Pistons (14-24) 115-112 on Thursday evening. Cavaliers players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. Pistons were plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Canadian forward Tristan Thompson (206-91, college: Texas) notched a double-double by scoring 35 points (!!!) and 14 rebounds to lead the effort and Kevin Love (208-88, college: UCLA) supported him with 17 points and 9 rebounds. Even a double-double of 28 points and 23 rebounds by center Andre Drummond (208-93, college: UConn) did not help to save the game for Pistons. Guard Derrick Rose (190-88, college: Memphis) added 27 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Five Cavaliers and four Pistons players scored in double figures. Cavaliers maintains fifth position with 11-27 record. Pistons at the other side keep the third place with 24 games lost.
