Regular Season Round 19: Dax-Gamarde - Le Havre 75-85

No shocking result in a game when third ranked STB Le Havre (14-5) beat 7th ranked Dax-Gamarde (9-10) in Gamarde les Bains 85-75 on Friday. STB Le Havre made 16-of-19 free shots (84.2 percent) during the game. They also forced 19 Dax-Gamarde turnovers. It was a very good performance for Lithuanian forward Rokas Uzas (202-88) who helped to win the game recording 22 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Romain Dardaine (201-88) contributed with 16 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Four STB Le Havre players scored in double figures. Point guard Damien Larribau (185-98) answered with 14 points and the former international point guard Xane dAlmeida (181-83) added 12 points in the effort for Dax-Gamarde. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. STB Le Havre moved-up to second place in Group A, which they share with Tours. Newly promoted Dax-Gamarde keeps the seventh position with ten games lost. STB Le Havre will face JSA Bordeaux (#8) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Dax-Gamarde will play against SO Maritime Boulogne in Boulogne-sur-Mer and hope to win that game.
