An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Charlottetown. Second ranked The Storm faced their close opponent Sudbury F.. Host The Storm (5-2) defeated guests from Greater Sudbury (3-4) 131-122. The Storm made 21-of-23 free shots (91.3 percent) during the game. They also forced 23 Sudbury F. turnovers. Strangely Sudbury F. outrebounded The Storm 59-44 including 22 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. 25 personal fouls committed by Sudbury F. helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American guard Robbie Robinson (196, college: CS San Bernar.) fired a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Guard Alex Campbell (188-93, college: Windsor) chipped in 22 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. The Storm's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American forward Marlon Johnson (208-94, college: N.Mexico Highlands) produced a double-double by scoring 18 points, 18 rebounds and 4 blocks and the other American import point guard Braylon Rayson (175-94, college: Cent Michigan) added 19 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists respectively for lost side. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. The Storm maintains second place with 5-2 record behind leader Moncton M. which they share with defeated Sudbury F. Sudbury F. at the other side keeps the second position with four games lost. The Storm are looking forward to face Halifax Hurricanes (#4) at home in the next round. Sudbury F. will play against Titans and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
