Regular Season Round 23: Djurgarden - Koping Stars 86-87

Tenth-ranked Djurgarden (3-20) gave a tough game to first ranked Koping Stars (18-3) in Stockholm on Friday. The visitors from Koping managed to secure only one-point victory 87-86. However their fans expected much easier game. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Djurgarden won third quarter 15-13. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Koping Stars looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Americans were the main players on the court. It was a great evening for forward Jeremy Combs (201-95, college: Texas Southern) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 30 points and 11 rebounds. Point guard CJ Jackson (185-96, college: Ohio St.) helped adding 19 points and 5 assists. Point guard Derrick Wilson (185-92, college: Marquette) responded with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 6 rebounds and 12 assists and Jeremiah Ingram (201-93, college: NC Central) produced a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds. Koping Stars maintains first place with 18-3 record. Djurgarden lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team stay dead last with 20 lost games. Koping Stars are looking forward to face Umea (#9) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Djurgarden will have a break next round.
