Regular Season Round 14: Evreux - Paris 81-87

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 14th ranked ALM Evreux (5-9) was defeated at home by fifteenth ranked Paris (5-8) 87-81 on Friday. Paris shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 57.1 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. The former international forward Nobel Boungou-Colo (202-88, agency: Interperformances) had a double-double by scoring 25 points and 10 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and center Ismael Kamagate (211-1) chipped in 15 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Paris' coach Jean-Christophe Prat used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. DR Congolese-Belgian power forward Ruphin Kayembe (201-92) responded with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 11 rebounds and American point guard Jerrold Brooks (183-91, college: S.Mississippi) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Paris moved-up to fourteenth place. Loser ALM Evreux dropped to the fifteenth position with nine games lost. Paris will face higher ranked Saint Chamond (#8) on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. ALM Evreux will play against JA Vichy (#10) and hope to win that game.
