Everything went according to plan when tenth ranked Bielsko-Biala (6-9) won against on the road 12th ranked Rybnik (3-12) 79-69 on Friday. Bielsko-Biala looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Forward Robert Kozaczka (199-81) fired 22 points and 5 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws) for the winners. Guard Grzegorz Szybowicz (187-86) chipped in a double-double by scoring 11 points, 6 rebounds, 11 assists and 5 steals. Four Bielsko-Biala players scored in double figures. Power forward Andrzej Mazur (203-98) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points and 15 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and point guard Rafal Koczy (176-97) added 12 points, 6 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals respectively for lost side. Bielsko-Biala moved-up to seventh place in Group C, which they share with AZS PCz and UR Krakow. Newly promoted Rybnik keeps the twelfth position with 12 games lost. Bielsko-Biala will face Jaroslaw (#10) at home in the next round. Rybnik will play against Unia Tarnow and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
