LF2 top team - Sant Adria (10-3) managed to deliver another win on Saturday. This time they beat tenth ranked Granada (5-8) 62-53. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Granada. Senegalese center Maimouna Diarra (198-91) nailed 11 points and 8 rebounds for the winning side and Montenegrin power forward Bojana Kovacevic (191-96) accounted for 14 points. Four Sant Adria players scored in double figures. Trinidad and Tobago-Vincentian center Verdine Warner (196-92, college: Shaw) came up with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 rebounds and point guard Andrea Alcantara (171-99) added 12 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Granada in the defeat. Granada's coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Sant Adria maintains first place in Group B with 10-3 record, which they share with Gran Canaria and Ardoi. Loser Granada dropped to the ninth position with eight games lost. They share it with UCAM Jairis. Sant Adria will meet Segle XXI (#12) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Granada will play against Barca CBS in Barcelona and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
