Regular Season Round 15: Rivas - Estudio 92-91

There was no surprise when 12th ranked Estudio (5-8) was edged on the road by fourth ranked Rivas (11-4) 92-91 on Saturday. However just one-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The best player for the winners was guard Alejandro Garcia (183-0) who scored 23 points. Power forward Angel Gomez (197-87) chipped in 18 points and 5 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). At the other side the best for losing team was center Carlos-Alvar Valle (204-91) who recorded 9 points and 10 rebounds and forward Gabriel Rodriguez (199-90) added 15 points respectively. Five Rivas and four Estudio players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Rivas moved-up to second place in Group B, which they share with Quintanar. Estudio lost their sixth game in a row. They dropped to the thirteenth position with eight games lost. Rivas will face Azuqueca (#6) at home in the next round. Estudio will play against the league's leader Alcobendas (#1) and hope to win that game.
