LEB Silver top team - UBU Tizona (13-4) added another victory to their record on Saturday. This time they beat ninth ranked Algeciras (7-10) in Burgos 84-79. UBU Tizona made 19-of-24 free shots (79.2 percent) during the game. Swingman Ivan Martinez (192-90) stepped up and scored 21 points for the winners and guard Alberto Ruiz-de-Galarreta (198-83) chipped in 18 points. Five UBU Tizona players scored in double figures. UBU Tizona's coach Jose Luis Cubillo used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. American forward Andrew Kelly (201-91, college: Alaska-Fairb.) responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds and American-Jamaican Marcel Robinson (196-96, college: Tampa) scored 22 points and 6 rebounds. Newly promoted UBU Tizona maintains first place in Silver with 13-4 record. Algeciras at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the ninth position with ten games lost. UBU Tizona will face Cocinas.com (#6) in Logrono in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Algeciras will play at home against Zornotza and hope to win that game.
