Rather predictable result in Sinj where eighth ranked Alkar (7-8) beat 11th ranked KK Skrljevo (3-12) 72-68. Alkar players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. It was a good game for American point guard Nickolas Neal (185-88, college: Purdue-NCent.) who led his team to a victory with 22 points and 9 assists. His fellow American import power forward Emmanuel Wembi (203-97, college: Lenoir-Rhyne) contributed with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 15 rebounds for the winners. Neal is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Forward Ivan Batur (201-91) answered with 18 points and Antonio Boban (205-93, agency: PEPI SPORT) added 13 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for KK Skrljevo. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Alkar moved-up to seventh place. KK Skrljevo at the other side keeps the eleventh position with 12 games lost. Alkar will play against league's second-placed Cibona in Zagreb in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. KK Skrljevo will play at home against Sibenik (#6) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
