Very predictable result in Santander where sixth ranked Arha Hoteles (8-6) outscored 15th ranked Filipenses (2-12) 78-52 on Saturday. They outrebounded Filipenses 36-25 including a 30-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was Serbian forward Petar Radojicic (206-94, college: St.Mary's, TX) who scored 27 points and 7 rebounds. Forward Alvaro Reyes-Abad (201-97, college: MSU Denver) chipped in 13 points and 5 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Kenyan Ronald Gombe (203-92) who recorded 14 points and 7 rebounds and center Isaac Herrero (198-99) added 8 points and 9 rebounds respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Arha Hoteles moved-up to fifth place in Group A-A, which they share with Ardoi. Filipenses lost their third game in a row. Newly promoted team keeps the fifteenth position with 12 games lost. Arha Hoteles will face Solares (#11) at home in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Filipenses will play against Santurtzi (#13) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
