The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of undefeated Caballos (3-1) in Aguadulce on Saturday night. Hosts were defeated by fifth ranked Halcones (2-2) 71-64. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Caballos. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Halcones made 7 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Jahir Cabeza (196, college: SSU) who helped to win the game recording 32 points, 7 rebounds and 5 blocks. American-Puerto Rican Wil Martinez (188-92, college: Fairmont St.) contributed with 25 points for the winners. American-Puerto Rican forward Angel Matias (193-92, college: Georgia South) replied with 15 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and the former international forward Josimar Ayarza (205-87, college: S.Mississippi) added 18 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Caballos. Caballos' coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Defending champion moved-up to third place, which they share with Atletico Nacional. Caballos at the other side keep the second position with one game lost.
