Date: January 11, 2020
Very important is a home loss of third ranked Pistons (14-25) against fourth ranked Bulls (14-26) on Saturday night. Host Pistons were defeated by Bulls in a tough game in Detroit 99-108. Bulls forced 19 Pistons turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. The winners were led by guard Zach LaVine (196-95, college: UCLA) who scored that evening 25 points and 6 assists (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) and Finnish Lauri Markkanen (216-97, college: Arizona) supported him with 14 points and 7 rebounds. Even a double-double of 17 points and 14 rebounds by forward Christian Wood (208-95, college: UNLV, agency: Pensack Sports) did not help to save the game for Pistons. Guard Derrick Rose (190-88, college: Memphis) added 20 points and 7 assists for the hosts. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Bulls maintains fourth position with 14-26 record. Pistons at the other side keep the third place with 25 games lost.
