Regular Season Round 15: Adepla - DKV San Fernando 73-84

Rather expected game in Plasencia where 6th ranked Adepla (5-7) was defeated by third ranked DKV San Fernando (8-3) 84-73 on Saturday. Strangely Adepla outrebounded DKV San Fernando 43-26 including 30 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was Jose Ruiz (200-97) who had a double-double by scoring 18 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. Angel Canas-Balina (187-97) chipped in 25 points. At the other side the best for losing team was American power forward Ernest Maize (203-94, college: Philander Smith) who recorded a double-double by scoring 16 points and 17 rebounds and Christian Segui (191-0) added 18 points and 8 assists respectively. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. DKV San Fernando moved-up to second place in Group D-B. Newly promoted Adepla keeps the sixth position with seven games lost. DKV San Fernando will face Utrera (#4) at home in the next round.
