It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Araski. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Anna Gomez (181-86) who helped to win the game recording 12 points and 9 rebounds. The former international swingman Queralt Casas (177-92) contributed with 9 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. Valencia's coach Ruben Burgos allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. American swingman Shacobia Barbee (179-94, college: Georgia) replied with 8 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals and Mozambican forward Tamara Seda (193-94, college: UTEP) added 14 points, 7 rebounds and 5 blocks in the effort for Araski. Valencia maintains third position with 12-4 record having just two points less than leader Girona, which they share with Gernika. Araski at the other side keeps the fifth place with seven games lost. Valencia will play against Promete (#10) in Logrono in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Araski will play at home against Zamarat (#13) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
