Regular Season Round 15: Kolossos HH - AEK 70-79

Very expected game when 12th ranked Kolossos HH (5-10) lost to second ranked AEK (11-4) in Rodou 70-79 on Saturday. The game without a history. AEK led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. It was an exceptional evening for American Keith Langford (193-83, college: Kansas) who led the winners and scored 20 points. International point guard Nikos Gkikas (186-90, agency: Octagon Europe) accounted for 10 points and 6 assists for the winning side. Four AEK players scored in double figures. American-Liberian guard Lasan Kromah (198-91, college: UConn) came up with 17 points and 5 rebounds and American guard Donovan Jackson (188-96, college: Iowa St.) added 16 points respectively for Kolossos HH in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. AEK have an impressive series of ten victories in a row. They maintain second place with 11-4 record having just two points less than leader Panathinaikos, which they share with Promitheas. Kolossos HH lost third consecutive game. They keep the twelfth position with ten games lost. AEK will meet at home Ifestos (#5) in the next round. Kolossos HH will play against Lavrio (#6) and hope to secure a win.
